Should Grandparents get paid to look after Grandchildren?

Should Grandparents get paid to look after Grandchildren?

In my opinion I have a 100% yes to answer that question. Grandparents should get paid for the parents job it may be fare if the child/children have no parents. I could connect this with my experience because my nan takes me for the holidays so we spend some time together. Add to that my parents also get some alone time. My parents pay the money for us to go out and have fun.

Firstly, I really think that the grandparents should be paid because they take up their time and money to look after the grandchildren and they might need help with money issues. The household could be a problem and having children to look after could sabotage their career.

Secondly, the grandparents have already put up with their children so why should they have to look after another generation. However they are their grandchildren. The experience with their children could be a lot of help. The payment must be enough to help the children. I always love it when I go to my nans because I barely get to see her, so the bonus is you get to see you grandparents.

Having to pay the grandparents could be a problem but you must respect that they look after your responsibility. I think growing up in New Zealand has helped me with my ancestry knowledge. Those are my reasons why I think you should pay grandparents.

Puns

Today my class and I did art yesterday. For art we had to find a pun and a image to fit with the pun and draw the image. My pun was "Why couldn't the bike stand up on it's own? Because it was two tired. My teacher Ms Ramkalawan also did her own and it was, "Brainwash." I really found that this was fun but quite difficult, but I wish I could do it again.

Comic strip

Matific games

Today my class and I were working on  a new challenge on matific to be able to win $50,000 for the school. The challenge started today and many of us completed the score to be able to win more monsters. I found the games very difficult.

Burgers and fries

Today my tech and I were lucky enough to make fries and a burger. The choice was made by every school that does the cooking class. Making the burger was very difficult but, the fries was very easy. After making the burger we did all the cleaning. We made many mistakes but, overall I enjoyed making it. Now I know I could make it for my family.

Mr Hendricks challenge

Mr Hendricks (Principal) proved to us that he was able to lift a big person with his thumb. Everyone thought the challenge was impossible until the day he did it using the most useful sort of tool for the situation, a lever. He pushed the lever and the person was rising. As he lifted him everyone face looked like they were impressed by the way he used him to pick him up.

My simple toy

For the last few days my class and I were working on a project that had to be involved with wheel, axle and pulleys. I used many implements to make this simple machine toy. I found this very difficult. I wish I could make another one but much more impressive.

This morning my class and I were working on a word puzzle that took a lot of concentration. I really found this really difficult. I learnt a lot such as more interesting words which help in the future. They were Inequalities and absolute. I wish I could do it again but much more harder. I am working a word search puzzle now.

Meeting my goals

Out of the 4 activities that we completed in our reading time, I chose these two. One of them was an advertisement on using a eco-friendly chemical which was Atractem (Whitefly spray). This helps with gardening problems. It has a very sticky coating on it that keeps the whiteflies from escaping and the best part is that it is yellow, yellow attracts whiteflies. I really chose the advertisement because I have good artistic skills on a chromebook. The other one I chose was a glossary on the vocabulary that we did in one of a slides. I like this one most because I learnt what all of the words meant and I also learnt interesting facts. I really wish I could do it again.

This afternoon my class and I were learning more about himene/hymn which is a song that is sang in harmony and it is mostly played with a guitar and piano. Mrs Maude taught us.
