Why is swimming an essential skill

Why is swimming an essential skill
People all around New Zealand die from drowning, said by the prime minister. The statistics show that pacific islanders die from drowning. Why is swimming an essential skill?  Swimming is a life saving skill. Some people won’t even bother learning or teaching, but if you don’t you will regret it. What are the skills? For swimming you have all sorts of techniques such as freestyle, backstroke, butterfly and breaststroke, all of those skills take a while to learn. Who are the people that should learn that is everybody.

Why do we need to swim? Children are learning new skills and facts on swimming from private coaches or their parents. Swimming is one of the most popular sports all over the world. They might even learn at their school for their school programme that cater children for their abilities at swimming. Some parents may not even takes away the responsibility of their children after school.

How to swim? Sometimes there are fun competitions like racing others to win medals, trophies or even awards. It might be fun to splash around or even jump of high surfaces. People at beaches would even enjoy new experiences by doing water skiing, sailing or go out and fish. Children may sometimes not agree on taking swimming lessons or even learn. Coaches all over the world train kids from all cultures it does not matter how old they are.

Swimming is a very hard skill to learn and people would agree with me.

Yesterday my class and I had a chance to have fun on a bouncy castle. When I first so the bouncy castle I was really amazed at how immense it was. The designs were very unique compared to other ones that I have seen. Most of my class and I were excited to play on the bouncy castle. People that played on it were impressive at doing many tricks on the bouncy castle.

Before hopping on the bouncy castle we would have to take our footwear off or we would damage the bouncy castle. Many of the children in my class were very shy to jump on the bouncy castle, but most of us jumped like crazy. People think at our age we shouldn't be playing on a bouncy castle because it was meant for little children, but we think we could do what we like.

Where is Omaru Creek? Omaru Creek is located in Glen Innes. People would know it as a place to have a fun day or even have a nice picnic. Omaru Creek is a natural place that is used for native animal habitats. What are the problems? The problems with Omaru creek is that local residents have been shoving fat and rubbish down the drains.

Who helped? The maintenance were called out to have a check. They had a look and it did not look good at all, so they helped remove the surrounding such as mattresses and other unneeded things. When did this incident happen? The government were not impressed about local resident not helping to keep the community clean.

The Maintenance crew thought it was also people flushing rubbish down their toilet or to much toilet paper was used. This incident would of caused a pipe to burst. Blocking pipes can cost lots and lots of money. After cleaning out the rubbish that wasn’t needed they tested the water for five days to see how it would turn out to be then. This is the present look, but 5 weeks later I assure you that my school and I will clean it.

The 3 keywords for this year are PACE, ACCELERATION and CONSOLIDATION.  These are my principal’s keywords for 2017. For the first basic facts assessment I got 26 out of 40 and in week 3 I got 28 out of 40 I think this is a poor improvement, but I think I can do better. For the next basic facts I hope to get 35 or 40 out of 40. I will consolidate by listening to my teacher to improve my understanding  factors and multiples. Unfortunately there is no acceleration.
