Multiplying fractions

Screenshot 2017-03-27 at 12.32.22.png

Today I was multiplying fractions as my independent work so that I can revise on to remember it. As you can see I have got 16 out of 20 which is not that good for my kind of standards, now I know that I need to improve more on it and that this topic will be my lesson that I will need to work on. I thought playing this game was quite difficult, but overall I think I did good.

Swimming sports 2017

Swimming sports 2017
collage.jpg

Today some students and me worked hard in the swimming competition. Not every student swam, but most of us did. When I entered the swimming I heard everybody cheering as loudly. It was like s a siren piercing my ears. In all my races I came first, but I think my opponents could do better if they practiced. Swimming was quite difficult . I struggled with butterfly. Overall I am really happy with my places in swimming.

For the last few days my class and I were studying Omaru creek and drew a family tree for Tamaki River because the Omaru creek is a branch of the Tamaki River. Most of our students tried and others made it look so easy. Drawing this tree was a new experience. I hope we could do it again

Silhouette Cabbage Trees and Bulrushes on the banks of the Omaru creek

A few days ago my class and I were working a piece of art that was based on our topic study. As you can see we have a silhouette  of  a Cabbage tree. It is located on the bank of Omaru creek. The techniques that were used are wet on dry, dry on wet and wet on wet. These techniques helped us make our water color painting. I thought working on this was quite perplex and difficult for me. Other children made it look easy. I really enjoyed doing this I hope we could do it again.

Metaphor

Walt: write a metaphor poem

Huntah

  • Huntah is a Camaro that is red and black with a gold steering wheel
  • Huntah is a small bank  with warm staff.
  • Huntah is a friend because he is funny
  • Huntah is a all extra large meal with free extra sauce on the side
  • Huntah is a fancy cap with a large brain in the front
  • Huntah is a playground because he is playful
  • Huntah is a dragon fly because he keeps things fresh

How to change the world

How would we change the world together? People would just underestimate themselves by thinking they can’t change the world, but one of the best way is to stand up and fight for our world's rights. The pollutions in our world is taking over Africa. Children are dying needlessly of food. Countries like New Zealand and Australia are one of the most cleanest countries in the world. Barely any pollutants or rubbish diminishing their lands.

Normal people without careers or any leadership skills think it is hard for them to change the world on their own so it would help if you ask a group of people to share your idea across the world. Politicians like the president of America can change his country very easily or he could just start an argument against all politicians. If you could change the world would you think it’s possible for a group of unknown people to command the humanity to change the world?

If you think about South Africa the pollution has taken over their water which can’t keep them from surviving. It is very simple if you think about it all you gotta do is tell them to get motivated and figure out a way of a new survival plan. You could just provide food, water and shelter for them. Hygiene is a very important thing to this beautiful world. People from all over the world would be elated that you are trying

People would just complain about it or they would think they can’t do it because they're not rich enough. You could just get in contact with smarter people to do it for you. Just think about the world, kids are hungry, people are homeless and there are unhappy families. Things don’t have to be the way they are right now. Try everything that is typed down and I guarantee you will have a possibility of changing the world.

Bunnings warehouse have been trying to persuade people to buy many things, but my main is the window cleaner that is only 79$. AS you can see there are lots of things ready for sale, but there is one that is standing out compared to everything else. Bunnings warehouse is a very persuasive company that makes discounts unbelievable. I think that the price for the window cleaner is very cheap.

This page is very good for construction builder or people that fix things. A window cleaner is good for dirty stains that can’t come of the window. This page also gives Information about how long it can last or how useful it is. It also has 3.6 volts that can last a very long time.

This morning my class and I were investigating our volleyball skills and we used a tool on the spreadsheet. The tool helps us with all our charts such as Pie graph, bar graph and a side bar graph. Using the graph chart was kind of perplex for me. We also used another app that helped us find out the mean. Chromebooks are very useful.

Get New Zeland writing, Grey Main school, package.

Get NZ writing - Package opened
collage.jpg
Two days ago my class and I sent a package and today they sent their page, but their one looked very creative compared to our page. The metaphors they used were similar to our ones. I really liked how they wrote that they like the sound of games, I also like the sound of games which gives us something in common. I enjoyed how they talked about their snowy weather and their great technique on description. I really enjoyed

communicating with Grey Main school.

Statistical Investigation

Google map Screenshot
Screenshot 2017-03-07 at 10.17.30.png

Walt:  conduct a statistical investigation.

We used google maps to determine the walking  distance to 124 Apirana Avenue. This is the entrance to the Omaru Creek that we are studying. The screenshot shows the route, distance and time from my house to the creek. Zain lives the furthest because he is 4.8 km and 59 minutes away. Jolie lives the closest because she is 550 m and 7 minutes away. Harrison lives in East Tamaki so he will be the same as Jolie. Next, we will be calculating the mean and the median.
The median of our class is Huntah which is me. The mode is 1.3 and 1.0km.

4800 m, 650 m, 2800 m
7600 + 650 = 8250 ➗ 3 =

Why we have to wear a hat outdoors in New Zealand

Walt: write an explanation.
Why we have to wear a hat outdoors in New Zealand

Have you ever had problems in sun? People all around New Zealand are being exposed to skin cancer and other skin problems because they are not wearing hats or suitable ones at the least. It is mainly children the have suffered from ultraviolet rays that causes the eyes to lose their site by 50%. Old people can be affected by 60% because their skin is very delicate. Adults would really have no issue but some may have major issues.

If you ever think you are having problems with your skin tone and different body changes you must see a doctor. Wearing hats have never been the enemy to people, they help you to stay the way you look. Hats are one of the things that save lives by making sure that people's eyesight is still functioning. I Interpret that everybody must wear a hat by September - April.

The best time to wear a hat is outside when the sun is shining. The problem that people have is sun burn which is quite fatal. It starts by the sun. If you wear the hat you will have no problems. If you wear hats I guarantee that you will be more healthy. People you will be more elated.

ASB Spend wisely

ASB Spend wisely
Today a wonderful lady named Anina entered our classroom to talk about how to spend your money wisely. She taught us how to spend wisely and also how to earn an immense amount of money. The examples she gave us was if you went to Fiji and you had to book an hotel which one would you choose the standard or the 5 star room. At the end I learnt that if you use a credit card to use money from the bank you have to pay the money back. I really think that this will affect my future of being an adult.

Acceleration in maths

Acceleration in maths
For the last few weeks my class and I were working on addition and subtraction using place value. Working on that was difficult and some were easy. I got all right on the work, but I still think I need to be challenged. I have moved up a level today and now I am in the top group.

Acceleration in writing

Yesterday my class and I were writing a descriptive writing on lava cakes that 2 students in our class made. It was delicious, but some people disagreed with me and didn’t even want it. I wish I could have it again. This is my writing highlighted in red

MMmm, that beautiful scent of frozen berries and many other delicious fruits. I looked at the the bag of fruits, the aroma covered my nose from any other disgusting smell. My smile as wide as the horizon and my eyes as big as doughnuts. The smell is a fruity smell that I can not resist. I can not get a look, but once I pick it up I get the perfect birds eye view. What a standout happy purple tint stains. I get it close to my mouth and a smell that whiff of juicy fragrance. It gets closer and closer until Hmmm that burst of flavour caused myself to clinch my teeth, but it was worth it. This will forever keep memories.

This is my writing that I did yesterday and this is my present one that I did yesterday highlighted in blue

That beautiful aroma spread across the room, everybody glared at the cake. Once I stroked my finger across the cake, it felt squishy and soft. I can hear the slimy rubber cup falling off the cake. I steadily chew the cake and wow, it was a chocolate sensation that made my taste buds explode like a chocolate grenade inside my mouth. The chocolate in the middle mounted on my tongue. The lava cake ran through my esophagus like a chocolate waterfall. This is currently my favourite cake.

I think I have improved don’t you think

Today my class and I were having a great time, but an also learning time for our badminton skills. Our teacher or coach was Kylie and she taught us many things such as back hand which is thumbs up, front hand which is thumbs down and many more. I wish we could do this again.
