Helping Mr Hendricks

Today a bunch of boys and I were helping Mr Hendricks and Mr Pat put a lot of heavy logs to the other end of the school. The reason for us doing that was because we really did not have a volleyball net placement so we took the large logs to the senior side for volleyball training.

Pizza day

Today my class and I were lucky enough that we got 9 boxes of pizzas because of the 3 people who did the winter learning journey. Which had 21 difficult activities. We were very grateful for the people who did it. The meal was very delicious. Next time I will do the blogging.

Rounding off decimals

This morning me and my maths group were working on Rounding off decimals in the thousands. I found this quite difficult because explaining to my group was very difficult, but overall I really enjoyed learning how to round off decimals. 

Football skills

This morning my class and I were learning new football skills inside our school hall with Steve. We learnt a lot of skills, but not all. We had many skills and techniques to goal and defend opponents. Some of the skills he taught us were:

1. Defending
2. Always kick from the inside of the foot
3. Stop with the bottom of your shoe
4. Tackle the ball
5. Ball must not go above the hips

Defending the ball was done by using your body to block the opponent from tackling the ball. It is a very easy skill. Then there was another skill that was used and that was always kick with the inner foot. There were also Stopping the ball with the inner or the bottom of your foot.

The fun aspects of playing football was dribbling because dribbling is one of the main things that is very important to learn. My second favourite was tackling the ball from other opponents.

The games we had were very funny because people were falling and soccer balls were getting kicked all over the place. The teams were 4 splitted team and the colors were green, black, orange and yellow. I really enjoyed learning football skills.
