Elephant toothpaste

Today me and my class were lucky enough to create elephant toothpaste. First we were split up into 3 groups. After that we read what the method and the ingredients. The ingredients were:

• Hydrogen peroxide
• Food coloring
• Dishwashing liquid
• Warm water
• Yeast

The main ingredient was the hydrogen peroxide because without that it wouldn’t be able to rise or form in the normal form. We have been learning about chemical changes for 2 weeks and elephant toothpaste is a chemical change because it was formed into a new substance. It was irreversible. I really enjoyed experimenting with my group. I wish I could do another experiment similar to elepahnt toothpaste.

Maori language week - Protagonists

Protagonists is our word for the day we had to read a Maori Myth and then write about the protagonists in that story.

The protagonists in my myth is Taufa, Ahau and he is the king of Tonga. After many votes and wars Taufa, Ahau finally won the battle of his dreams. His body is very muscular and his clothes is like wearing wood and flax all over him. He is very competitive but really also aggressive and he is just like a gentleman. In my opinion I think he was a good king.

Tongan language week

This week is Tongan language week and our school has been celebrating in the staff. There are a lot of decorations inside the office. Tongan language week is celebrated by many people. A lot of people are tongan in my school. If I was Tongan I would celebrate this every year.
